TOUCHDOWN!!

Hey Everybody,

Just wanted to brag a little. Last night was the first game of the football sectional. We lost to the team that won the sectional last yr 42-20. Obviously that is not what I wanted to brag about. My son made his first touchdown for the varsity. It was a proud moment for this mother. :) It made sitting in the rain, under an umbrella, my rain poncho, winter coat, two pair of gloves, two ear warmers, two pairs of socks, two pairs of gloves, a turtleneck, sweatshirt and jeans, much more worth it!! Of course, it would have been worth it anyway (just not quite as enjoyable).

but we still have Sundays and the NFL. GOOOOOOO COLTS!!!!!!!

    Hi JoJo -

Congratulations to the team! I can relate to sitting out in the cold, bundled up. My nephew was in hockey for years. Nothing like sitting in an ice cold rink at 6 AM! It was worth every minute.

    Blessings,
    Anna

    Hey JoJo -

Just reread your post - the team lost but your son is a winner! :)

    Love,

    Hi Anna,
Thanks! I have enjoyed all these years of bundling up and traveling to the games. Many fond memories.

Hope all is well with you and Jabez. How is the writing going?

    Hey Honey, (that's Mark)

Wow - my first comment from my hubby. That's awesome! Now we just have to get you a blog. lol

After you get the garage cleaned out, that is. And the trim finished....and the back room cleaned out....and....and...etc :)

    Hello JoJo,
Yep,I had a wet weekend of football, too.....however, I am on the "band chaperone" end of things. Daughter Lindsey plays piccolo and is also a cheerleader.
Layered clothing and the band raincoats are the way to stay warm.
(or just don't volunteer to chaperone and stay home----that's no fun).....the football players looked like they were playing in the Mud Bowl championship as Garfield HS beat North HS, 24-6.
We have this really good FB player named Chris Wells who is ranked really high nationally in some position. (As you can see, I keep up more with the band, then the details of the team.) Glad that God gives us football games to yell alot at and attempt to keep up with the unbridled enthusiam of youth!! Congrats to Dustin on his touchdown!!...Jodi in Akron, OH

    Hey Jodi!

It is so much fun to go to the school events. Glad you hear you guys won. Piccolo huh? I used to play flute and wish I had never given it up. I bought a new one about a yr ago with the intent to take lessons and I ended up with one lesson. I keep saying I will do it when things slow down.

    Have a good day Jodi!

    Hi Jojo,

I've been on vacation, so I'm just catching up. Sounds like the weather there is not much better than it is here!

You and your family are in my thoughts!

    Hey Jojo,

I remember those cold, rainy days and evenings, out there shivering on the bleachers, but...also going crazy with pride and excitement when my boys scored! There's nothing like it.

Hey Mark!! How cool to see your comment here. I'll have to show Frank...who knows? maybe he'll be inspired. :)

    Praying for you guys.

    Love,
    Melanie

    Hi Clandi,

I hope you had a great vacation. Where did you go? Thanks for checking in. Things are ok right now. We have had a couple calls to go to the nursing home because Kristin was having some problems, but she has come out of it every time.

Thanks for checking in. I hope things are good with you.

    Hey Mel,

Yea, you tell Frank that it's definitely his turn!! :)

Did you get to meet up with Lepido? He called when I was at a continueing Ed class, so I saved his message and then couldn't retrieve it. :(

HOpe you got to meet him and Nancy and have a good visit.

Oh, I went to California for my vacation. Three days in Santa Cruz and then a week in San Francisco.

I was glad to come home, but it was a great vacation!
